Biography
Caryl
Antonia Greene, M.Ed., LMHC
Master in Education,
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Antonia
Greene brings to her work a dynamic blend of traditional psychotherapy
along with work with the body, mind, and spirit. She has completed
over twenty years of in depth training in modalities such as: object
relations (modern psychoanalysis), Jungian psychology, bioenergetic analysis,
psychodrama, expressive arts therapy, child therapy, and energetic healing
arts from shamanic traditions. She has a specialty in early infant/mother
bonding and leads groups in self exploration and spirituality.
She is an adjunct faculty member of Bastyr University, and clinical supervisor
for Bastyr counseling students at Highline Cancer Center.
Antonia
has been in private practice for 20 years in Seattle and on Vashon Island.
She works with individuals, couples, children, and groups.
Antonia
graduated from Springfield College, Springfield, MA, in 1978 with a master
of arts degree in Counseling and Psychological Services. Her earlier
studies include a BA in theatre arts from Rutgers University, after
which she studied acting with Stella Adler in NYC.
Antonia
believes that healing begins with awareness. The making conscious
from that which is unconscious, through the therapeutic relationship, is
one way that healing can occur. While conventional therapies are
of great value in and of themselves, Antonia feels that the work can be
vastly assisted and hastened by including the energetic and spiritual elements
with clients who may be open to working in less conventional ways. |
